Are you looking for plain skate decks to use in an art project or to get creative with? Do you like the look of a plain skate deck? Want to save money on your next skateboard? If you need help finding the right plain skate deck to buy, you came to the right place.
The cheapest decks
If you simply want to make art to hang on a wall, then we recommend finding the cheapest possible blank decks. For low quality but affordable plain skate decks, check out Amazon.ca. There you can find low quality skateboards you aren’t planning to ride. Just search for the cheapest board and purchase that one.
But if you plan to use your decks for skateboarding or you want a nice coloured stain on your deck, then you need something a little better.
The best plain skate decks
If you want to sell skateboard decks with your art on them to skateboarders, or plan to skate your plain deck, then we recommend you find a high quality blank deck.
You’ll need a deck that will hold up to the toughest skate sessions just like pro decks. In fact, high quality blank decks are made in the same factories as pro decks, with the same high quality inputs: 100% North American hardwood maple.

Our plain decks are affordable at $59 CAD each. If you are an experienced skater, we have multiple different shapes and sizes to choose from. You can also select your deck based on the different coloured bottom plys. Generally you can find the following colours: Teal, blue, purple, yellow, brown, green, natural, pink, red, brown and black.
Each blank deck from Canada Skate Shop also comes with free plain black Mob or Jessup grip tape (which you can also cut and paint in creative ways and then sell) and hardware.

Choosing the right deck shape and size
Our plain skate decks come in multiple shapes and sizes.
All our shapes are popular with skateboarders, so you can choose any one you want. Our most popular and best selling shape is the “OG shape”. If you’re not sure where to start, start there. Another great option for beginners is our “Twin Tail shape”. This shape has an identical nose and tail, so you can ride your board in either direction without worry. One less thing to worry about when starting out!
Our decks are available in a variety of widths. The most popular widths are 8.0, 8.25 and 8.5.
8.25 is the most popular these days, so if you’re not sure where to start, try 8.25.
Once you find the right plain skate deck for you, choose between Jessup and MOB grip tape. MOB is a bit grippier than Jessup. Both brands are very popular with skateboarders. Then simply choose which colour hardware. Hardware are the nuts and bolts that will allow you to attach the board to your trucks.
